The service is excellent, the staff are friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure you’re comfortable and taken care of. They check in often and never leave you waiting too long for anything. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. It has a warm, modern, and minimalist feel, with clean wooden accents and a cozy, welcoming vibe. It’s a great place to enjoy a calm, satisfying meal. Now for the food: it’s incredibly filling and worth every dollar. Each meal comes with unlimited rice, cabbage, and their signature sauce, which makes it very easy to leave full and happy. Even on weekdays, the line can get long. But once you’re seated, the experience more than makes up for the wait.
Wow, best katsu and udon, not just in Vancouver or Canada... One note better come early the queue is quite long, and the food takes a while to be prepared and served.. but well worth the wait. The chefs and the staffs are all Japanese, thus this place taste is very authentic.
Saku has quickly become one of my new favorite spots! I ordered the Ebi Hatate Curry, and it was absolutely delicious. The shrimp and scallops were huge and perfectly cooked, tender and juicy with every bite. The curry itself was creamy, rich, and packed with deep, comforting flavor that made every spoonful better than the last. Even the cabbage salad on the side was a standout crisp, refreshing, and surprisingly addictive. The portion size was generous, and I left feeling full and happy. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!
This said to be must-try Japanese style restaurant in Vancouver. We were disappointed by top price menu and the food, the size of thin katsu (deep fried pork) with rice was so small , the frying batter of small shrimp was thick. We need to get two refill salad cabbage and miso soup.
First time here after seeing all the good reviews and I was not disappointed. Service was friendly and top notch, the food was absolutely delicious. All the meats were tender and cooked perfectly. To top it off, you get endless rice and salad (cabbage) with a sesame dressing that I couldn't stop eating. I will definitely be coming back
Japanese deep fried pork cutlet place served with shredded cabbage and miso soup. Free refill for salad and soup with the meal. Also curry and udon are available too. Overall food quality is very good, pork is perfectly cooked and coating is crisp, salad dressing is excellent, Miso soup is not too salty, service is attentive, place is kept clean. No reservation allowed, Overall excellent. Recommended.
Delicious and filling katsu. The katsu sauce was tangy and umami. Unlimited rice, miso and cabbage. Their homemade sesame sauce was so good. Some of the friendliest staff I have come across in a restaurant in awhile. If you're a katsu fan definitely check this place out.
The katsu nabe was so flavorful and filling. The sides are unlimited and we really enjoyed the salad, which was light and refreshing. The staff and waiters were very kind and attentive.
